The policy making body of the Association is its Representative Council (Rep Council), composed of the elected members of the Executive Board, Faculty Representatives and Delegates to the CTA’s State Council. Among a host of responsibilities, this deliberative group is charged with establishing policies for the Association, approving the establishment or discontinuance of committees, adopting the AEA operating budget and establishing dues requirements for the Association. The Rep Council meets at least once each month during the work year. If you desire to serve as a linchpin for your Union, the Rep Council will provide you the opportunity to play a leadership role in all that the Association is and does.
The Rep Council meets on Mondays once a month at 3:45 in the AEA office. Please let your site rep know in advance if you have issues you would like on the agenda. All AEA Members are eligible to visit Rep Council, but only elected members may make motions and vote during meetings.
