Your AEA Team is made up of teacher bargainers who are representative of the Union membership. Team members are nominated by the President and approved by the Executive Board. The Bargaining Team is charged with directing the bargaining process on behalf of the Association on matters pertaining to salary and working conditions. Salary, health benefits, transfers, leaves and the length of the work day are all mandatory subjects of bargaining under state law. If it is competitive salary, quality health care or effective negotiating that interests you, then it’s time you talk with the AEA President about serving on the AEA’s Bargaining Team.

Bargaining Team Bios
Rosemary Louissaint: (CTA Staff Representative) It is my pleasure working with your dedicated bargaining team. I bring to the table many years of bargaining experience, over 23 years of advocating for teachers, and 26 years of teaching experience.
Bob Carson: (Middle School) I have been a History teacher in the AUSD for many years, most at Park Middle School. I have also served as a site rep for Park as well being a member of the ONE Team. I will work hard to ensure we reach a contract settlement that is fair and protective of teacher rights.
Jeri Creese: (Elementary/Prep) During my journey in Antioch, I have taught at Mission, Kimball, Turner and Jack London. I am currently teaching Physical Education to my Fit-n-Fun children at Jack London. My goal as a bargaining team member is to represent our teachers and work for a contract settlement that supports their needs.
Valorie Luke: (High School/Alternative Ed) Having grown up in Antioch, attending Sutter, Park, and Deer Valley, I was excited to begin my teaching career right here at home in 2005. I taught at Marsh Elementary School before moving to my current position at Antioch Adult School/Prospects High School. My goal is to work for better working conditions for Antioch teachers which will lead to a better educational experience for all stakeholders.
Robert Strickler: (President) I have been a teacher in Antioch since 1988 and have been involved in AEA since 1996. I have been a school site rep, grievance rep, the bargaining chair, and the AEA Treasurer. I am currently your AEA President and serve on CTA State Council. I believe in advocating for all teachers, protecting teacher’s rights, and protecting the contract.
Sharon Weaver: (Special Education) I have been in Special Education since 1983. I was hired as a Special Day Class Teacher at Sutter in August, 1989. After getting my Resource Specialist Authorization, I split my time between Bidwell and Turner however I’m now full time at Turner. I want to represent the interests of all Special Education service providers at the bargaining table.
Deb Blomberg: (Elementary) I have taught in Antioch for over 15 years. I have served as a site rep and as chair of the organizing team. My goal is to find solutions for the challenges that face the students and teachers of Antioch.
Kevin Jones: (High School/Academies) I have taught in Antioch forever, working at Sutter, Antioch Junior High/Middle, and Antioch High. I have served as the AEA Vice-President and grievance coordinator. My areas of expertise on the team are health benefits, budget and data analysis.
